Click on the circled link to download the starter kit.ģ.Once you have the starter kit downloaded to your computer, unzip the file and extract or drag and copy it to the root of your SD card. Scroll down the page until you see the below image.
The next thing you need to do is go HERE and download the homebrew starter kit. For new 3DS users, you can use the SD card management found in your system settings to avoid removing the micro SD card.Ģ. Take a note of this and then, power down your DS, remove the SD card and put in your computer.

If you’ve already done this and just need help with the How To of the ACNL save editor, you can skip to step 10.ġ.The first thing you’ll need to do is, go to your system settings on your DS and, on the top screen, bottom right corner, you’ll see your systems firmware.
I’m going to start with how to set up your DS to access homebrew. This works for 2DS, old and new 3DS and old and new 3DS XL, and is currently available for Europe, Japan and the USA but don’t worry, other regions are being worked on!
